How does the technology work?

Overall hardware costs are reduced as users share the resources allocated to them on an ad hoc basis. The cloud improves data integrity because it can be maintained and backed up in a datacentre.

From a functional point of view, each user has access to a complete, dedicated Windows operating system hosted in a secure data centre. This system, known as VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), acts as a genuine personal workstation, accessible remotely. It can be opened from any PC or laptop, without compromising on performance or security. Regardless of the device used or where you are connected, the environment remains identical, stable and available at all times.

Remote Desktop Services (RDS)

How does it work?

Combined with the appropriate security measures, this technology enables work to be carried out on a virtual server via a Windows session that can be accessed both within a company and remotely. Remote Desktop Services (RDS) technology is offered by Microsoft Windows Server. Thanks to its power to provide a multi-session environment, it enables each user's daily workload to be managed via a secure Cloud.

    The RDS environment is hosted in a virtual machine (VM) where the various applications are installed.
  • Connection to a server in just a few clicks.
    Thanks to the ‘Remote Desktop Connection’ application available from Microsoft (other versions exist for Linux and MacOS), different users can connect to a Windows Server session. This space and its access can be consolidated by a dual authentication application such as external access.
